West London Law Society

Founded in 1960, the West London Law Society exists to support the character, status and interests of solicitors with an attachment to the West London area, and the profession at large. We welcome new members and would encourage all local solicitors to take out full membership with the Society which is free to the end of the third year after qualification, and thereafter at the very modest annual fee of £20.

We also encourage all employees and students, whether barristers, legal executives, paralegals or administrative staff to take out associate membership, for which no fee is charged.

By joining, coming to events or even becoming an active committee member you will help to support your Local Law Society, debate the future direction of the profession, gain access to excellent training events and social events (often the two together) and network with colleagues from all specialisms.

We have three active council members - past Law Society President Lucy Scott-Moncrieff and Saima Hirji, who represents the West London constituency, and Denise Lester who is the nationally elected Law Society Council Member for Child Care Law. Council members regularly attend WLLS meetings and events and are available to engage with practitioners on behalf of the Law Society.
