In conjunction with West London Law Society, you are invited to a CPD property seminar which will provide an essential tax update for residential property lawyers. The seminar will be followed by a Q&A session and a ‘round table’ type discussion on the property sector.
The engaging speaker for the evening will be Andrew Waddell, Managing Director, from Winslows, a boutique tax law firm that specialises in working with other law firms that do not have internal tax departments.
The ‘round table’ type discussion will be hosted by Nicola Watkins and Helen Gillespie from LegalinX, a market leading property and company information provider. Nicola and Helen would like to explore key challenges currently facing the property law sector, the changing needs of customers and how firms are adapting and technology innovations and what impact they may have on the conveyancing process.

WLLS is reviving its highly sociable jazz and wine nights to showcase one of the UK’s finest jazz pianists, Ted Beament, who played for many years in the renowned Humphrey Lyttleton band.
Our former President, Michael Simmons (2004/5), a lifelong jazz aficionado, will be hosting us at his home in Holland Park. We have a maximum of 30 places available for this unique event.
After some 50 years as a partner in two London law firms, Michael has a new career as a novelist dealing with the law and lawyers. His third book, Double Exposure, was recently published to great acclaim, including a first-rate review in The Times law pages, and all guests will receive a complimentary copy.
