Support Through Court (previously the Personal Support Unit) is a charity that aims to reduce the disadvantage of people facing the civil or family justice system without a lawyer, enabling them to access justice. They believe that no one should face court alone and they work to provide immediate support to everyone who comes to them.
Support Through Court are an award-winning charity with several hundred dedicated volunteers, operating from 20 courts across England and Wales as well as through a National Helpline. Their trained volunteers provide emotional and practical support to clients throughout the court process, supporting clients on over 78,000 occasions in 2019/2020.
They’re a ‘win-win-win’ Service, welcomed by LiPs, court staff and judges, and giving rewarding experiences to volunteers. If you or your firm would like to become a supporter of this fantastic charity, please visit www.supportthroughcourt.org to find out how.
