James obtained his Law Degree from the University of Hertfordshire and completed his Legal Practice Course at what was then the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London. He now practises in the areas of crime, personal injury, employment and general civil litigation.

After 10 years with Lansbury Worthington Solicitors, from 2010-2020, James is now a Partner with Hollingsworth Edwards, Solicitors and Advocates.
James is Joint Vice-President of the West London Law Society, and has also been Honorary Secretary since Spring 2015 dealing with all minutes and correspondence. He is keen to promote the legal profession and make it available to all. James devotes some of his spare time to being a mentor for students at London Metropolitan University which he has done since 2014. He has also given talks to LPC students at the University of Hertfordshire on the life of a solicitor in practice and the challenges in securing training contracts.
He is a keen cricketer and plays whenever he can in his spare time. He also supports Northampton Town Football Club and enjoys watching them play whenever he has the opportunity.
